Hi there, I'm Nilay. I'm a fourth year undergraduate at Columbia University studying mathematics and physics.

I am broadly interested in algebraic geometry and representation theory. I find mathematical physics particularly fascinating.

Outside of math I like to read, code, think about open science, and mess around with electronic music.
I try to maintain a blog but I tend to forget. Oops.

Feel free to drop me a line at nk2485@columbia.edu or check out what I'm working on over at my GitHub.
For those who are interested: my resumé.
Modern physics renders it probable that the only fundamental forces in Nature are those which have their origin in gravitation and in the electromagnetic field... It is necessary to regard electromagnetic phenomena, as well as gravitation, as an outcome of the geometry of the universe.
